My name is Kacy and I am the owner & photographer behind Kacy Lawver Photography.
I believe the most powerful stories aren’t just seen. They’re felt. Whether it’s the quiet exhale of a horse before a sunset ride or the way a groom looks at his bride when the rest of the world fades away, I am here to document the legacy of the things you love most.
The Equestrian Heart
They say my first word was "horse," and honestly, not much has changed since. I started riding at age seven and have spent my life immersed in the dust, the grit, and the grace of the equine world. Today, I’m a proud owner of my retired show horse, Ace.
In the horse world, details matter. Because I am a rider first, I understand the work that goes into a polished coat, the patience required for a young colt, and the split-second timing needed to capture that perfect "ears-forward" connection. My equestrian work has been featured in National Horseman, Morgan Horse Magazine, and Saddle Horse Report—proof that I don’t just take photos of horses, but that I understand them and the importance of capturing the candid moments.
The Wedding & Lifestyle Vision
As I plan my own future with my fiancé, Jordan, I’ve realized that photography is about more than just a single day. It’s about the "forever" that follows. My approach to weddings and lifestyle sessions is rooted in intention.
I’m for the lovers who want to wander into a field at golden hour, the dreamers who value a physical heirloom over a digital file, and the couples who aren't afraid to get a little dirt on their boots to get the shot. I bring a calm, steady hand to the high-energy of a wedding day, ensuring every moment is captured with the same heart I put into my own life.
Beyond the Camera
When I’m not behind the lens or at the barn with Ace, you can usually find me spending time with those I love most. Whether I’m on a walk with our dog Kit or cuddled up on the couch with our cat Milo. Or out with friends being a typical 25 year old, I am constantly inspired by the world. I have a deep-seated love for the wide-open spaces of the American West, and that "wild and free" spirit bleeds into every gallery I deliver.
I fell in love with photography over a decade ago because I wanted to hold onto the moments that move us. Today, I’m honored to do that for you.
Let’s create something intentional.
